"Wonderful hotel. I will definitely come back. The bed is excellent, soft like clouds! I did not want to leave my bed in the morning. Breakfast selection is decent too. In your hotel room, there is very detailed muti-page recommendation of places and food to try. It is written in both japanese and english. The location is about 5mins from Matsumoto castle. Check if the castle does light up at night during your stay."

"We had a really wonderful time at Wanosato experiencing winter and snow in authentic Japanese setting. The staff were really welcoming and made our stay special, every detail of our stay was taken care of. We had the half-board with dinner and breakfast included. "Enjoyed our one night stay here. Booked one hour private onsen and thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and waterfall scene. Also did the public onsen and enjoyed it as well. Yukata clothing and towels are provided. Excellent service and a sense of luxury even though the hotel itself is dated. Good breakfast."
