"Tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood, yet within 10 min. walk to Kyoto Train Station which is the main hub to take Shinkansen, local subways, etc and has tons of restaurants. The hotel is a mix of kind of art nouveau and Japanese theme/style. Bathroom is very new. Bed firm yet comfortable. We have 2 adult & a teenager. We booked a superior twin sofa bed and the room didn’t feel cramp at all. Very surprised w this hotel in a good way. Worth the recommendation. "

"It was my husband's first time in Japan and the onsen/ryokkan experience. He enjoyed every moment of the stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The kaizeki dinner was delicious with locally sourced ingredients and breakfast was amazing to get our day started. We still dream about the miso soup hot pot at dinner!
