"Staff was very hospitable and greeted all their guests like family. They gave you a property tour of your room and ensured you understood all amenities on property. There is a public bath with an electric bath, soda bath and medicine bath that was amazing after a days tour. Fantastic! Please go for the four seasons. You have your own private garden and a larger space. Staff will prepare your futons on tatamis. This is a townhouse so you will hear a bit of footsteps above. ...

"Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

"Beautiful property designed for a good refresh. So glad I stayed here and took advantage of the bath with a garden view. Staff was extremely helpful; my credit card got frauded and I had to get a replacement. The staff was extremely helpful in navigating the postal system for me. Quiet neighbourhood near the Imperial palace with beautiful parks and a nice break from the chaos of other tourist areas."

The staff offers you a book with recommendations such as dining and sight seeing attractions as well as how to get there by bus or transit. The hotel has no lobby for guests to even sit to put shoes on and space at the hotel entrance is very cramped, narrow and crowded for even one person to walk through with any baggage. Owner only offered one tea bag a day for a two persons room. I will not consider coming back again in the future."
