"Had a lovely stay at The Milner, was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Superior Double on arrival so had the luxury of a huge shower and also a freestanding bath to use during our stay. The bed was huge and very comfortable. we used the Swollen Gambler bar and also ate breakfast during our stay and found both very good. Choice of food at breakfast was good and plentiful. Our only gripe was because we stayed in the older part of the hotel overlooking the station area, the old sash windows...

For a five star boutique hotel, it still retains some traditional hotel features and values but I have to say, it’s starting to look and feel quite tired in places. The furniture is looking tired and worn in places, the tvs are tiny and in my experience, work intermittently. The mini bar is a nice feature, but quite over priced. "
