"The view from our room (#11) was unbelievable. We had a full window wall that provided a jaw-dropping view of the volcano. Impressive!!! It was very convenient being adjacent to Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. There are no restaurants at the Lodge but the neighboring hotel has a very nice restaurant which is just a very short drive down the hill. "The staff were super friendly and helpful especially the front desk clerk, Ilene. The room was spacious and the grounds well kept and beautiful. Short walk downhill to center of town. Walk back up will burn up dinner calories. Also had a little visitor to our area. See pic. "

"We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment at the back of the property on the second floor. The room was updated and clean. Walking distance to restaurants. It is attached to a convenience store for beer, snacks and alcohol. Pool was clean. Also has a whole bar area that you can leverage by the pool. Property can be a little noisy in the morning when everyone is going to work since it is located directly on the main road to La Fortuna."

"While the room was quite spartan, the grounds are beautiful, as is the large deck with a spectacular view of the volcano, Arenal. The staff, especially Anderson and William, were warm, friendly, immediately responsive. Communal meals were delicious and a fun way to commune with fellow travelers. The only disappointment was the distance from the Arenal national park- a good 40 to 45 minute drive from the resort. "

"This was such a gem of a place! The view was absolutely amazing - you could see down the valley, and then all the way to the ocean. The room was clean and spacious, with floor to ceiling windows on three sides. It's such a quiet area and I was happy that we were up high (even though the hills are steep!) rather than in the center of town, which seemed very busy, with lots of hotels and restaurants and stores packed in tightly. The views are amazing, but the best part of the hotel is the family...

"It's hard to imagine a better location, view, and property. Simply amazing. I travel a lot for both pleasure and business. This is one of the best places I've stayed. Santiago greeted us at the Hotel Lago entrance and we followed him by car to the villa. Be aware that it's better to have your own vehicle since the walk from the hotel to the villa is quite long and not suitable for pedestrians. Overall, this villa made our Arenal experience muy Bien!"
