"Well located with a 30 min walk into the City Centre or jump on one of the many buses at the end of the road. Parking is £10 per 24 hours but there were no spaces when we arrived around 4 pm on a Saturday. Fortunately street parking is available after this time and on a Sunday"

"DeVere Wokefield exceeded our expectations considerably. We upgraded to a room in the Mansion House and the view from the window was beautiful. Even though there were wedding parties both nights we were there, we would not have known it had we not met people during breakfast and photo shoots. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The Mansion House could not have been a more lovely surprise. Inexpensive taxi ride to Reading to see the Silchester Eagle and the UK copy of the Bayeaux...

Generally tidy, initial walk through corridors looked a bit like whole hotel was in need of some TLC room was better. "Nice hotel recommended as we were visiting friends close by and we understood it had been recently renovated. Nice decor, comfy bed and lovely breakfast. The only slight comment I would have is the pub area was so hot, all the radiators were on full blast even though the weather was still mild in September. Also it seemed strange as a pub hotel it didnt have a residents license so had to stop serving by 11. Perhaps thats just a local quirk and certainly wasnt a big issue was just a bit strange...
