"We stayed in a triple room and found the room to be a good size for three adults. The room was warm and comfortable. We had a buffet breakfast which was adequate. The carpets in the hallways were very worn when we were there in September but I think they may have been renovating. The only concern we had was that it was raining on arrival and there were huge potholes in the driveway and parking area. This made it very difficult to bring in luggage. The carpark area really needs some work."

"Although the motel appeared basic to start with, everything was available in a relaxed atmosphere. The motel was very nicely equipped and the management obviously went to great lengths to ensure the property was pristine. Almost like a good hotel in many ways."

"A nice room for an overnight stay. Bed was comfortable, room was large, and overall clean. The hot tub was a nice touch - make sure you call to reserve the tub. The “porch” is simply some chairs on the walkway in front of the room by where the cars park - not a private area. Easy walk to the lake and beautiful walking path around the lake. Lots of shopping and food options nearby."

"Our stay was excellent. Great location, self contained room with fully stocked mini kitchenette. On reading other reviews, some people must go out of their way to find faults. Wanaka is a very lovely part of the South Island. Recommend."
