Our stay at Mi-Pad was quite mixed. Let’s start with the positives:
The hotel is well located, just a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. It has decent amenities, like (paid) laundry and a cool rooftop terrace.
The negatives:
Loud road works were going on outside the hotel and no one from the hotel management communicated this to us in advance, despite the fact the work started 2 days before we arrived. Despite complaining we were put in a room facing the works and the manager was unsympathetic. Thankfully a kind member of staff, Millie, moved us to a room at the front of the hotel the next day when we were woken up by the works starting again at 8am (on a Saturday).
The WiFi was hit and miss, we could hear loud bass at night from nearby bars and clubs and some of the “smart hotel” features were confusing - like the towel rails which seemed to come on when they felt like it.
Finally, the paid car park doesn’t let you pay days in advance, so be prepared to wake up before 8am each day to pay for parking.
To be clear, the road works were not the hotel’s fault, but the communication and reaction around them was. Better communication would’ve have improved the experience.
