"As advertised, inexpensive and functional. The host was accommodating and the location is good, on Cowley Road, with a bus stop right across the street. The house is not new or recently refurbished and the furnishings are haphasard, but wvebrything was clean and functional. A good place to stay on a budget."

"The information provided on the hotels website was not what we were informed when we arrived. Breakfast finished half an hour earlier, and check-out was also 30 mins earlier than stated. There was no shared kitchen as indicated in the pictures, and we didn't see a laundry (though we did not ask). The information states that there is a restaurant - this is not the case. It is straight up a B&B and does not pretend to be more."

"My wife and I had an excellent time at the Oxford Royal Hotel. It was our first time in Oxford and wanted a hotel close to bus and train stations. This hotel location was great for all our needs. Many restaurants were just a 5 minute walk up the street. Our bathroom was newly renovated and the beds were clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here during your stay in Oxford. "

"Everything in the room was clean, and based on other reviews as I expected. The front is a little hard to find in the dark though. The location is excellent for the centre of town and lots of food and transport options right outside. I didn't actually see anyone who worked there the whole time, so this is not a place to stay if you need assistance. The room was noisy from outside, but earplugs sorted this out. "

"The Oxford studios was very cute and modern. It felt clean. There were some dishes that weren’t washed and instant coffee sachets that we open and not removed. Other than that very nice. Straight forward to enter the property. Communication with hosts was timely and efficient ."

"I was travelling solo and it was amazing place to stay. Very clean and had all the amenities I needed, was great to be local to everything I wanted aswell. Very secure and would definitely stay again "

"Great hotel with nice bar serving Butcombe beer and an Indian restuarant delicious food , great wine £20. Very handy for proximity to Thames path. Even breakfast quite ok. Nice big bedrooms. "
