"Rooms were of a good size and spotlessly clean. We liked the balcony to sit out and relax. The beds were lovely and comfortable. Great tea and coffee facilities in the room. Only disappointment was the breakfast. Not a great selection and overpriced. "

"Our stay at The Carmel Beach Resort was absolutely amazing. It’s one block from Carmel Beach, clean and comfortable. Carmel by The Sea is a small quaint town so the property is small but very well maintained. My guess is that because most of the properties were built in the early 90’s with the exception of the historical ones, the property was recently updated. "Overall, the hotel is excellent. The staff was amazing; very friendly and attentive. We stayed in room #17 for 3 nights. It was small and lacked a placed to put your clothing. The armoire only had four hangers, but offered no place to put smaller clothing items. We found ourselves tripping over open suitcases. The mattress NEEDS to be replaced! It dipped in the middle and was very lumpy, which made for restless sleep for both of us. "
