"We loved this cute little hotel! Our room had a wonderful fireplace. The heater doesn’t heat the room very well so it stayed pretty cold in the room but overall we were very satisfied! "

"My wife and I have been visiting Monterey for years and love the cool weather and peaceful vibe of the area. First, the accommodations were excellent. The unit itself is very new. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet and nestled in the Skyline Forest area of Monterey. The roads and driveways can be steep, but the views are amazing. "We liked everything about this classic, updated motel. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. We had a standard, amply-sized room with a fireplace as a bonus, at an affordable rate. Feels like a mid-century California coastal motel, in a row of similar places down the road. It was a little bit of a walk, not terrible, to the downtown and Cannery Row locations. When we did arrive after 6 hours in the car they would let us use a restroom and it would be 3 hours until check in. The woman kept adding a day to my stay. And as I requested a downstairs room for the 5th time she put me upstairs. Another woman working said they need a downstairs room. So finally we did get the downstairs room. "From the moment we walked through the front door, we were awed by the beauty and comfort of this home. The rooms, for the most part, were spacious with magnificent views of the ocean. The two downstairs bedrooms shared a bathroom. Since that was the only, minor, issue, I give this home a huge thimbs up. huge thumbs up."
