"Warm welcome. Well appointed compact room. Very comfortable bed, with pristine bedding. I slept well. Although overlooking a busy daytime road junction the room was quiet at night. Transport and shops all located close-by. A morning smile from reception staff."

"The hotel is inconspicuous on a dreary day but has double doors from the bar to the street so would be lovely on a summers day. The rooms are spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was fitted with a lovely modern shower and the vista was straight out to the Bay (which was sadly freak and dreary). One lady (Margaret) was amazing. She checked me in and made sure I was happy with everything. Then after I went to my room I went to the bar and was being served pints by Margaret...

"We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, check in was easy, the room was spacious, clean and with everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable and the shower lovely. We were also right in the middle of town so could walk to shops etc. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

"The hotel is in need of some modernising ie carpets redecorating but it is comfortable and the staff were great. Parking is limited but there is plenty of space on the promenade directly opposite which is free."

"Friendly hotel with good location to explore Ambleside. Dog friendly and even though dogs are not allowed in the restaurant they set up a table in the lounge for you so your dog can accompany you and provide table service. Catered to my needs being gluten free and requiring soya milk and even made my decaffeinated coffee just how I liked it. Will definitely stay again 😄 xx"
