"We have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions and had a lovely stay again. A little hiccup with dinner but this was rectified promptly & efficiently."

"Convenient location off the motorway near Kendal, less east of travelling north. Wasn’t clear if there was specific parking and couldn’t park close to doors so difficult with luggage. Rooms were a bit tired and needs some maintenance. Staff were friendly. Recommend purchasing food at the services further north as only Costa and McDonald’s available "

"Vegan selection for breakfast was quite poor and having a room that overlooked the pub opposite (Jailor's Barrel) meant noise into the night but otherwise was comfortable and staff very friendly."

"We stayed one night for a wedding. Hotel was lovely and we were informed about noise from a function. However, there was noise until 1am from staff moving beer barrels which was quite disturbing. It was evident in our room but not all. Nevertheless, we would stsy there again."
