"One night stop and very relaxing stay. Restaurant closed on a Monday so couldnt try food but breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful with Dan offering great service. Last drinks are 9 o clock but that's great as other pub/hotel arrangements can be noisy if you have gone to bed a bit early."

"The Inn was ideally situated, not too far from Settle and Malham Cove which was beautiful. Very welcoming and a special smiley reception from the delightful Poppy. Francesca too couldn’t do enough for us as we enjoyed Happy Hour and Over 60s good prices on evening meals. We’ll be back!"

"The staff here are incredible, so friendly and helpful. We stayed for a nearby wedding and they gave us an iron and iron board and taxi recommendations. The food also tasted amazing and was great quality, the menu isn't large but they do regularly change their specials. "This hotel was fabulous. A lovely room with a fantastic view. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. A lovely breakfast to start the day. We were lucky that when we got back to the hotel after our friends daughters wedding reception we were treated to live folk music in a well stocked bar. A lovely relaxing end to a delightful day"

"Great hotel in a beautiful location. The views are beautiful. We had spacious but cosy room 3 on the top floor of a separate little building which was delightful. Fantastic views and a wonderful bath! We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. The staff are amazing, very attentive and friendly and make you feel at home. We definitely stay here again and for longer next time. "

"The stag were extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. The room was a very good size with a modern en-suite bathroom. The evening meal menu had a varied selection for all tastes and the quality of food was excellent, being very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was high quality local produce with a large serving. Great Hotel

"Really enjoyed our stay ..easy to find..off road private parking..the hotel is very welcoming nicely decorated and clean...the bar is a good size and well stocked..the room was large with plenty of storage and room to sit and read or study..the bathroom had a bath with shower and toilet.. plenty of hot water..the bed was very comfy and sheets were fresh and clean..The breakfast was amazing with everything you could want and plenty of it.Only 10 mins walk into town along the canal which runs directly behind the hotel...All in all a great hotel "

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast time, were especially helpful as I have mobility issues. The breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of choice. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the centre of Lancaster as well as on the lovely river side walk. We would definitely stay there again. "

"its a lovely hotel, fabulous view, comfortable accomodation. the lake walk is pleasant, and the walkway maintained to make it reasonably accessible but not fully pushchair / wheelchair capable. its great that its dog friendly and animals are allowed in and around the place food is very nice, all made to a very high standard. it is pricy but its very pleasant and you dont feel short changed. a good location for a special event. "
