"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away. This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes. The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream) Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed. "Stayed in the family room which was great, spacious, more than just one big room and with a huge bathroom ( photos attached ). Nice little touches in the room such as bottled water, biscuits, etc. A bonus that we were able to take our dog. Everything in the hotel was well thought out. "Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also. "

"Hi we enjoyed our stay at The Cocketts Hotel in Hawes, 28th Feb 2025. The bedroom was clean and very comfortable. Cooked breakfast was good, my only advice would be to give an option on egg cooking method. The current managers are working hard to improve the hotel and we wish them success with this. The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Hawes. "

"A fabulous place to stay. Lovely sitting room never saw anyone use it would be much better utilised as a laundry ! We have been traveling for a week and would have been great to be able to get some clothes washed . Also heating was a bit of an issue no heaters on this morning and it was 1 degree !! There is a fan heater supplied and a blanket but the room then becomes stuffy . Great location and very clean but pack a hot water bottle 😊"

"Booked for the three peaks challenge and were absolutely delighted. The property is in the best location for one of the startinf ajsbfonishing points of the three peaks challenge. I would happliy return and spend longer withiut the hike as the property is absolutely chaeming. Sad to leave!"

"Lovely cottage well placed for walking and sightseeing. Really comfortable cottage and we felt at home straight away. Well equipped with all you need for your stay if cooking for yourselves. Nice touch with wine and flapjack left for our arrival. Especially thoughtful with flapjack ingredients listed, as my partner is coeliac we knew if he could eat them. "
