"People who work there were friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our visit. Beds were comfy and nice big TV that was easy to use. Premises were clean but definitely needed attention and upgrading. Breakfast was good enough. Nothing fancy but fresh. Problem with cold coffee but I believe it was a problem with the coffee brewer We were there the night of the big snowstorm and were happy to see the parking lot plowed early in the morning. "I needed a cheap room for the night and this one came out on top. I didn't read the full description about it being a shared bathroom but nonetheless it actually provided a bed for the night, which is Iall I desired! I arrived after the biggest Snow Storm in a few years and the building only has single glazed windows. An Electric Heater was provided, but the room was ice cold on arrival."

"I've stayed at the Palmerston in the dormatories several times for work and wanted to check of one of their suites. I was pleased to get a cozy room with a kitchenette, hot shower and a soft cozy bed for the weekend ! A concert within fifteen minute walk Saturday and I finished a novel on a peaceful Sunday. A great cafe across the corner ( and an A&W downstairs as well) and parking close for an early getaway. The Palmerston is a good deal."
