The room however felt a bit dated and the mattress was very soft and uncomfortable. My husband resorted to sleeping on the floor for a couple hours the last morning. "

Breakfast was good but no veggie option for my wife and I did not like the cats walking around the dining room and at times sat on my lap and walked across the table."

"Nice friendly pub. Room was basic but clean with a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was a bit disorganised as there was no menu as such and it was difficult to find out what was available. Good if you like a full English breakfast but otherwise poor. "

"Delicious breakfast. Lovely people . Amazing building with so much character. Perfectly clean . However we were in the smallest attic room. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, but managed to sink in the middle. We both ached. Could only stand in one part of the room. Both bedroom and bathroom very small . We felt the two attic rooms should be cheaper than the other rooms which were large and looked perfect. "

"Stayed in the balcony room, was absolutely fantastic, so spacious and comfortable, had a mini kitchen with microwave and all equipment you could need for a short stay. Excellent location to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking available outside, approx £4 for 2 hours, but from 6pm - 8am it is free, we got up at 8am to put a ticket on just in time before the Traffic Warden arrived so be aware of this. Only issue we had was that you are unable to control the heating in any way. Room was cold...
