Not a wildlife preserve, but we did see monkeys, a mom and baby sloth, birds, and lizards on the expansive property. The geothermal pools and the use of all 3 Nayara restaurants and facilities were major plusses that probably aren't emphasized enough."

"This property is amazing because the rooms back up to Arenal volcano. In the morning, we had incredible birdwatching and were able to even see toucans. It’s walkable into town, approximately 2 km. But there are many dining options along the way. My husband and I are vegan and were very happy with our choices. The restaurant in hotel Magic Mountain offered a few vegan options as well. The staff were very helpful and Carlos, at the front desk, arranged tours for us. Would highly recommend if...
