"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter. "Very well hosted, was lovely to see the horses in the stables, it is very close to the airport runway but it was actually enjoyable seeing the planes land and take off. Wasnt disterbing in the slightest. Rooms were clean and well stocked with tea coffee etc. Breckfast was amazing. And heating worked very well.
