"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! The reviews on Google and Orbitz rated The Calendar high so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. However, I do need to mention if you are sensitive to smell you might notice the slight scent of smoke. "I believe for the price that I paid for this hotel it could have been better. You cannot open the window for fresh air and cannot control the air-conditioning. You are responsible for making your bed, changing your towels and throwing out rubbish. Additionally it is a 12 minute walk to the train."
