"It was right in the heart of Venice, and walkable from the boat port from the airport. However, if you have lots of luggage, there are several bridges to cross and the cobblestone street made it difficult to maneuver my luggage. When we left, we took a private boat from the rear of the hotel, which made it very convenient to the train station. The historical beautiful property was very special."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint boutique hotel situated on beautiful grounds. Our room was spacious, clean and a lovely view. Outstanding breakfast included every morning. We also loved the location in the countryside just minutes from San Gimignano. Francesca and Luca were most hospitable! Highly recommend!"

"I cannot stress how much we absolutely loved this hotel. We had a small but comfortable room with a shared bathroom (there were 2 in the hall) and while I initially was anxious about that, not once did we ever feel like it was shared. The staff keeps the hotel and bathrooms INCREDIBLY clean; you don’t even get the feeling that there are others staying there. The location is also incredible - everything is within 15 mins walking. We will certainly be back!"

"This was the most shocking hotel experience we have ever had! After a long walk up several flights of rundown stairs, we were made to wait outside the hotel enterance until the owner turned up half an hour later. Once inside the check in process took a further 15 minutes where we were told we needed to make a cash payment for the room which we had already paid for by card. After putting up a fight we managed to get out of paying for our room twice. The owner then tried to take us to a different...

"Was a wonderful location, room, and stay! Owner was very nice, and helpful. Room was outstanding, and worked great. It may not be the nicest and most brand new accommodations on the planet, but it was beautiful and worked well! I will stay here again when I get the chance!"
