"The room is actually quite big compared to most stand hotel room sizes. I would recommend putting in a small table with two chairs and maybe a full length mirror. The room was very clean plenty of towels and fresh bedding. Building was easy to find, was able to park right in front of our window. Entry was easy to understand. Very close to Cumberland island ferry and downtown area. Price was def worth it. Felt safe and clean for me and my children. "

Property is well appointed and modern with really nice upgrade touches - digital see-thru fridge, giant double shower in main master, etc. comfortable living area With plenty of space for the six of us to hang out. Nice location with direct beach access and easy drive to restaurants and historic Fernandina Beach.Only caveats… Thins walls w no noise protection between queen bedrooms or between the family room and main master....

"This was our fourth stay at Merry Mermaid Cottage in the past five years. Every visit has been wonderful. The cottage is perfectly located for an easy walk to the St. Marys waterfront. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing, and the cottage is well-appointed and just right for a couple (and their dogs). We have stayed four nights each time, devoting one day for the waterfront and its shops and restaurants, one day spent at Cumberland Island National Seashore, and one day on a road trip to sights...
