"We found the staff very friendly and helpful, our economy broke at 10pm and we were moved to another room with no fuss, restaurant staff were also a credit to the hotel, our only comment would be that the food quality was not of a very good standard, based on other hotels we have used. The room was very clean even in corners where other people miss, a credit to the cleaning staff."

"I'd booked a double plus single room as I wasn't sure if I'd bring my daughter. When we arrived and checked in, I'd been moved to a double room with no bath and dripping shower. I questioned this as I'd specifically booked the room with 2 beds. The manager stated that this was because I'd booked a a single traveller. Once we added my daughter into the booking I was moved to a king room, as they had given my room booking to someone else. "

"The room was clean and comfortable but all just a little ‘tired’. It was unbearably hot when we first entered the room. Soon rectified by turning the heater off and opening the windows! Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and attentive staff. Disappointed to see vending machines in the foyer but I guess that’s normal for hotels in this price range these days."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Grove. It is a lovely hotel, especially if you are a golfer. Food wise The Glasshouse has a wonderful selection of food - but it is buffet (not every one’s cup of tea). The food at The Stables was also very good, but if you have some mobility difficulties, it is a long walk outdoors to get there! Concierge will arrange a buggy - but take your coat in winter! Lovely breakfast in the Glasshouse with excellent selection. Obviously The Grove is not cheap!"
