"Good find for last minute in winter high season. It's basically a hostel. The common area and kitchen could be spruced up. The heater in the room was either too hot or had to be turned off. I opened windows and left it on to find the sweet spot. The bathrooms were down the hall and in a very cold hallway. Location was close to train station, close to shuttle to some resorts, Happo was 20 minutes away by walking or ¥800 on the infrequent bus. I walked. There are some decent restaurants close....

"Friendly, warm and homely. In the middle of the action with all the ski shuttles and ski hire etc almost at the front door. Also a lovely hot spar bath after a day on the slopes. Owner friendly and helpful. "

"A beautiful tucked away spot in Hakuba! The surrounding forest was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts. About 15min walk to Goryu or they can take you in the shuttle. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and accommodated for, also a lovely spot focusing around keeping your dogs happy and taken care of. Spacious cabin feel and a decent restaurant with some nice options :) I would recommend this to anyone visiting in the winter or summer"

"The host was fantastic, and I truly appreciated their eagerness to serve the guests. Unfortunately, as I was new to the area, I couldn't find any car parking within a 5 km radius due to the ski parking being full. So, I returned and requested a parking space, and to my surprise, they kindly allowed me to keep the car for as long as I needed, even after my hotel check-out. "One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Super nice room, huge amount of space, two very comfortable double beds. Very nice sitting area, great view. Very nice onsen, and very very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommended!!"

"Great little hotel for a one night stay. Clean, tidy and great amenities. Laundry came in very handy! Close to centre of Nagano city and our favourite Ramen shop (Yoshiya) that we visit every time we visit Nagano. Luggage storage available for continued exploring after checkout. Close to local trains and about 5-10minute walk to JR station. For the price and convenience would stay here again."

"We stayed at this hotel for seven nights during our Nagano ski trip in late January 2025. The location was convenient, the rooms were comfortable, and parking costs $10 per night. Be sure to move your car before 11 AM and park after 3 PM, as spaces fill up quickly in the afternoon. The hotel has a microwave in the lobby and a Lawson store right downstairs. We’ll definitely stay here again for our next ski trip!"

"A modern fairly new hotel which was very clean, safe and a 10 min walk from station. Literally 10 min walk to Matsumoto Castle. We had a view of it from our room. Rooms in the small side (comm in Japan) but fine for us. Beds were very comfortable too. A great value as well. We would stay here again. "
