"This is a hotel that is trying to get back on its feet, staff are working long hours to cover shifts but keep on smiling and are tentative to your happiness whilst you stay here, we got a free upgrade so ask and if they can they will accommodate. We had a wonderful time here and would come back to see how the progress is as they get back to hotel trading, evening food was amazing very well presented and tasted amazing, a big shout out to Joe and Rosie who went above and beyond and the hours they did well hats off to too youngsters willing to give it a damn good go to be helpful in every way, yes the place is in need of some TLC in places but over time I am sure these areas will be worked on, the most important thing here is to recognise that the staff are doing everything they can to make you feel special. Now on to the spa well Necy was absolutely wonderful she made you relaxed and the pedicure was the most amazing one either of us have had highly recommended. Over all yes needs some work, but this did not dampen our stay, it’s the staff that made this stay wonderful and we will be back soon. Referring to a few previous reviews regarding the surrounds requiring a gardener, yes it’s a bit unkept but remember you’re not staying in the car park and once your into the hotel, unless your a smoker there’s no need for the weeds to bother you."

"Overnight stay for my mothers 86th birthday, was lucky enough to have an early check in and I was relieved that there were spaces in the on-site car park . We had a very pleasant room on the ground floor overlooking the garden. Breakfast was excellent, very fresh and plenty of choice.Staff were very friendly . The garden is really lovely , peaceful with plenty of chairs. All in all we both had a wonderful short stay and the hotel’s proximity to the high street was an added bonus. "
