"Lovely to see a proper village pub so busy on a couple of weekday nights in Mid-January. And quite rightly so - friendly staff, friendly locals and friendly guests. Breakfasts were great, dinners delicious and very reasonably priced (wife said the Rib-eye steak was the best 'pub steak' shed ever had and my chicken goujons were fantastic. "

"This is an old building and part of the charm of the village. A lovely breakfast and welcome. The room was spacious and warm. The hotel does need refurbishment and some decoration but it is central and close to the shops and restaurants "

"The room was very clean, beds comfy, en suite was nice and clean, huge TV, WIFI was brilliant, fridge was a nice touch as was tea. Coffee and biscuits, there was also nice soft towels and toiletries. On the down side I didn’t see a single member off staff or another guest, didn’t really think much to the key box check in. There was no restaurant or guest TV room. The street is very scruffy and rubbish strew all over the road."

"We loved everything about our stay here. It was so peaceful with beautiful surroundings and views. The room itself was very cosy with everything we needed and some extra little treats. We didn’t have to think about anything. It was very relaxing. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was huge. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the near future. "

"What a lovely place! The room was surprisingly large with a more than spacious bathroom and both really clean. The adjoining pub/ restaurant had a really good atmosphere with a good range of beers. Staff were really nice friendly willing to help out wherever they can. I strongly recommend booking a table as from what I could see the place is very popular and you do t want to miss out on trying the food! "
