"Property is very clean, amenities are good, pool is small and not a ton of chairs but it is still refreshing for a dip after a hot Bangkok day. I gave the area a low rating, even though basically in the middle of Bangkok and off Sukhumvit which is easy for Grab drivers, it is right on the edge of Asok and Nana area which is a bit more party life than I was wanting. The streets are not clean and very very crowded. "

"Carlton was a great place to stay. 10 minute walk in either direction to massive indoor malls. The area felt safe in the evening and there are lots of options for food. Traffic was an issue and delayed the trip from the airport. It took about 50 minutes from BKK on a Friday at noon and cost $30. (US). Public transit is easy from BKK and costs about 1 (US) dollar. If you’re interested in a good cigar lounge, check out the Intercontinental, about a 10 minute drive. "

"Right in the heart of the "nightlife" district. Not suitable for families. The hotel has been updated and remodeled since my last visit (years ago), much improved, quite nice."
