"Nice hotel if lacking a bit of character. Room was ok. It was facing the main road so a bit noisy - no chance of a lie in if you wanted one especially on the Monday. Very comfortable bed and very clean. A little on the cold side for my liking but was offered extra blankets if I wanted. The bathroom was really quite cold even with the heated rail on. "Our room wash really nice, everything as expected. Unfortunately the occupants in the next room were shouting and making too much noise at 2am but the night team soon sorted that out. Food in the bar was very tasty and good value. Will definitely stay again. "

"We stayed on a very quiet evening mid January for dinner, bed and breakfast. I imagine the hotel would be very different on a busy day in summer when it was full. We had a fantastic relaxing stay. Great shower, comfortable bed and spacious room. We enjoyed our cooked breakfast - other items were limited due to how quiet the hotel was I think. "

"So, the place itself is lovely, food is very good and the service is brill. Room was lovely however, there was a very strong smell of sewerage from the bathroom, there was definitely a build up somewhere which we did report on check out. This was Room 17 and in the corridor you could smell it a little. They said they would speak to maintenance and sort it. But overall, a lovely little valentines trip with the other half. Would defo return. "
