This was best value for money for a 1 night stay we have ever stayed at. All staff very friendly and nothing was to much trouble.

Good bedroom and central position. Evening meal involved microwaved food which was just about edible. Breakfast food better quality however 90 minute wait for cooked breakfast one day. Second day 30 minutes and run out of some of the food. It good enough for a hotel with this rating.

A lovely, welcoming hotel. Difficult to find their free car park. Bedroom cosy, warm and well furnished with fluffy towels and crisp, white bed linen. A hearty breakfast..plentiful and well presented. Staff friendly and helpful... young Holly M served us breakfast and all our needs...a pot of tea and fresh coffee. We felt the hotel was definately good value!!

Lovely coaching inn full of history and very well thought out decor and spaces. Great sized rooms, tho a bit cold as old windows/big bathrooms etc.... bathroom REAllY cold. Very much enjoyed the stay and would recommend

What a beautiful establishment to stay in. Hospitality was excellent. Coming from New Zealand and experiencing a true English atmosphere and old world charm. Great to read about the history of The Swan. The cost was amazing. Best place so far on our Europe trip. Thanks very much to the cleaning team and staff who accommodated and made our stay enjoyable.

Very glad we found this hotel. It was clean, well organised. Staff were all good, helpful and friendly with no exceptions. Also good food. Would definitely come back here again if in Stafford.

Tv 1 to 9 couldnt sit and relax watch tv no stations shower room stunk like drains paid nearly 150 in total then told us 15.00 pound for dogs on departure complete rip off for what you get didnt even bother with breakfast due to smell coming from shower room ...no body about to report the problem disgusting place

Interesting old building. Public areas generally attractive. Most staff helpful. However, radiators didn’t work, telephone didn’t work, one member of staff exceptionally unhelpful and discourteous. Cooked breakfast OK but continental was very limited. Hotel locked at 10.50pm. Rare to find anyone on reception. In summary some aspects very good others less so.

Me and my husband recently stayed here overnight to celebrate a special Birthday. It was a lovely, clean hotel with a great bar and restaurant area. Pros: A lovely looking hotel,clean and inviting. The food in the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. I would definatly eat here again. The staff were brilliant. They were so helpful and friendly and very hard working. The bed in our room was very comfortable and we were provided with enough tea,coffee, hot chocolate for our stay. Cons: we were driving around for around 30 mins trying to find the carpark from the postcode we were given. We eventually had to leave the car elsewhere and walk up to the hotel. We wernt the only guests that couldnt find the carpark that day. Poor directions and we later found out it was on a different road that the origional postcode took us to. It would benefit the hotel and guests to update this information and make it easier to find. We did try to ring the hotel 4 times to get directions and nobody answered. When arriving at the hotel we did have to wait a good 5 minutes for someone to come and check us in. We still really enjoyed our stay here and would come again, there were just a few little things that could be changed for the better.

Overpriced and clearly complacent
A tired room, small and hideously overpriced considering the condition.. It's been a few months since I've stayed here, in this time the hotel and overall experience has declined. The staff I dealt with were arguably rude, arrogant and opinionated. A real shame it used to be great!
