"Cute little boutique hotel in the middle of Stellenbosch with very attentive staff"

"A lovely hotel, friendly comfortable and with a lot of nice art work inside and around. We have stayed here before, so knew what to expect. Things were not so good this time in the restaurant though. The dinner menu was very limited, with only four mains. The spaghetti of the day was the same every day, so was the fish of the day on an inedible veg base. There was another pasta, a lasagne with egg plant which was bland the . Staying for four days we had to go out to get a decent meal. Breakfast...

"Lovely 5* hotel in a quiet street in busy Stellenbosch. Room was modern, well appointed, with comfortable King bed and high quality linens. Breakfast is included (you can eat outside around the pool) but the service was really slow and not as polished or efficient as one expects from such a lovely property. On the plus side, a quick walk to good coffee shops, restaurants and the best gelato (Moro)."

"This place is absolutely stunning! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the owners, we were made to feel at home. The grounds are spectacular, the room well equipped, immaculately clean and the staff all amazing. The breakfast is fabulous, with freshly made omelettes, fruit, cereals, toast and meats and cheeses. I highly recommend this place and we hope to come back some day! "

"The Spier is a lovely vineyard with good accommodation. They are now starting a complete renovation of the hotel and keeping all their staff on as part of the plan . I have always felt completely safe and cared for within the hotel grounds . A wonderful breakfast in the sunshine is the perfect way to start the day . There are many things to do swimming , cycling , walking , visit the hotel vegetable garden and see the birds enroute . I look forward to visiting Spier next year after its...
