"The side street this hotel was located on was a bit sketchy, but very close to the main road. Staff and the quality of the hotel was great- definitely geared toward an under 45 crowd. Rooftop pool was unavailable due to maintenance which was a bummer. There was a considerable amount of mold in the bathroom of my ‘box’- around the base of the shower and in behind the sink. "My husband and I loved our stay at the Torel Avantgarde. We were forced to make a last minute reservation after finding that the AriBnB we reserved was horrible and not at all as advertised. Last minute reservations can be tricky when you are also traveling with two small dogs. However, the front desk staff responded to our inquiry immediately and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. "This place is stunning. Historical palace turned into a twelve-room boutique. If you can, definitely stay here. The staff was outstanding, the attention to details and the comfort made our trip special. The restaurant is the perfect size and the food delicious. Highly recommended."

"Located across the street from the theater, the hotel is ideally located within Porto, allowing for easy walk ability as well as the availability of Bolt and Uber drivers. Multitude of bars, restaurants in the immediate area. "This has to be the best property in Porto—if not all of Portugal. In fact, it’s now one of our personal favorites anywhere in the world. The attention to detail and level of service here are truly spectacular. Pair that with a prime location and a view that feels priceless, and it’s hard to believe how affordable it was. "The property was beautiful. It was Ina. Central spot (up a hill though you do have to go up and down frequently to go to the water and some restaurants FYI, but there is also much nearby you'll want to see!) very comfortable beds. Nice bar area, friendly service. If you skip your room cleaning you get a free drink per day. Cool old post office made into a quiant hotel. Would stay here again for sure! "

"Nice hotel with very nice family rooms at a very good location. Very nice breakfast and a good spa. Reception and bar area is also very comfortable and nicely decorated Daily cleaning in the rooms could have been better and great & kind service at all sites except for evening bar area which could have been more kind. "
