"Charming little hotel right on Saratoga Lake. Format is an old-style "tavern on the bottom, small rooms above" configuration. The room was snug and outfitted in a clean, updated Colonial fashion. Didn't give 5 stars for service, not because it was bad, but it was essentially self-check and stay. Lovely to wake up to the lake outside our window. A couple of caveats that might affect your choice. The rooms are small (at least ours was), so don't plan on spreading your stuff out. If you can't navigate stairs alone or with luggage, ask for a room downstairs. Our room was right over the restaurant/tavern, which stays fairly busy (and noisy) until about 10 PM. We weren't bothered by it, but you might want to check ahead if you turn in early. We'd stay there again without hesitation if our travels take us to that part of the country again."
