"Avania is a short walk from the beach. The lobby and rooms have all been updated and redecorated. Our room on the ground floor had a private patio with two chairs and a small table. Shower was great and easy to use, though bathroom is small. Breakfast room is light and airy with loads of seating and good food. We would stay there again!!"

"The location was perfect … a block from the beach and easy walk to restaurants and pier. It’s was quiet and clean on the property. Breakfast was good and fresh squeezed OJ was a pleasant surprise. Only complaint was that the eating area was way too small. Other than that I would stay there again for sure. "

"The Hotel Santa Barbara is being beautifully restored. We took the train and it was an easy walk to the hotel. It is on the State Street Promenade - exceptionally walk able. Restaurants and shopping right outside the door. The bikes were the cherry on top. The only thing I could comment on was that the pillows were too hard, which was minor."
