"For a small apartment, I was quite surprised to find it boasted 3 bedrooms. This little home featured everything I required for my stay--full kitchen, plus washing machine for my laundry. "I am giving this 5 stars because the hosts were amazing and the view was phenomenal; however there are some things to note. The showers have lukewarm water (although every sink has hot water). This was very disappointing after being out on the beach and hiking all day as all we wanted was a hot shower. The water pressure was not great in the showers. "We loved this condo. Very safe and beautiful. The pool was pleasant with beautiful views. The walk to the beach is a lot of stairs but wasn’t a problem for any of my kids and we saw wildlife on the stairs including huge iguanas, frogs, butterflies, crabs, and even a raccoon looking animal. "Good experience overall. Had a hard time contacting the manager via WhatsApp for check in instructions and location. The place was clean but was lacking some kitchen utensils and coffee maker. The place is right at the end of the landing strip for the international airport so the planes come right over the place as the planes are landing or taking off. "We came to San Mateo to visit the area and meet with builders for our new property in San Mateo Ecovilla. Ivan and Grace are really great and were helpful with great feedback and recommendations about San Mateo. They have 5 dogs that are very well behaved and friendly, but are also well trained to stay off the terrace of the casita. We had a wonderful time and plan to stay there again."
