"The Cigno Hotel is a beautiful oasis in central Merida. The room was large, beautifully appointed and well air-conditioned. The food at the restaurant was excellent-modern Mexican cuisine. We felt one of the best part of the experience was the staff. They were friendly, helpful and very gracious. You cannot go wrong staying at this excellent small hotel. We had a very positive experience at Cigno Hotel."

"Close to everything in the heart of Mexico. Oxxo 24hra across the street. Bakeries 3 doors to the right or 3 doors to left. Carls Jr or McDonalds but 3 minutes walk to every restaurant and Grand plaza. Walking distance to farmers market. A true experience. Every uber right was max $3 usd. Staff was amazing and manager is on site and so nice. "

"The hotel was fine in most ways. Mostly clean, well kept etc and with a very comfortable bed. Some odd features such as wooden shutters instead of window, but may well be just unusual for our tastes. Air con worked well and really needed to! Did not feel a true 5-star though. "

"The hotel is very basic. The entrance is quite run down. Staff is friendly and helpful. The mattress was worn out. Lights were old and didn’t all work. We had everything that we needed, but it was not luxury. "

"The only positive aspect is the location, which is excellent. The property should not be considered a 4-star hotel. It’s outdated, and our room didn’t have a mini-fridge and the Sink was leaking. Our experience was terrible as we were woken up at 6 a.m. by the front desk knocking persistently on our door. The reason? “Your car is double-parked in our private lot, and a guest needs to leave.” I replied that we had parked correctly, but they insisted it needed to be moved as it was blocking...

"Amazing service 10/10. Staff was so attentive to detail and great value for what you get, valet parking, breakfast, and service. Everything can be done on the WhatsApp chat.
