"The building itself is nice but it is in need of a restoration. My room was spacious, but the beds were saggy and there's no air conditioner. The curtain does not cover the window completely so anybody in the hallway can look inside which is strange. They do have a strict rule of not allowing guests into the hotel. On a side note, they don't give you hand towels unless you ask for it. On the whole, my stay there was just ok, nothing really good or bad, that's the reason for an average rating."

"This hotel is very charming. It's in walking distance to several historical sites. The staff is very friendly and accomodating of needs. The breakfast is basic but good. "Excellent experience! Ive stayed all over Costa Rica and have found the service only just acceptable. However, Laura, at the front desk was very helpful and nice. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the dtay includwd a decent breakfasy from staff with a smile on their faces! The only minor downside was the location, being a ways away from anyrhing worth visiting. I would stay here again without hesitation! "
