"Like all Apa Hotels, great location, easy to get around, near trains. Rooms are on the smaller side but perfect for solo or couples. Staff is always awesome and hotel is clean."

"Have stayed at the Metropolitan quite a few times. It is a very reliably good place to stay. They have a lot of room amenities (I cannot remember them all from our stay last month but I recall being impressed). It is close to the subway lines. There have a lot of staff in the lobby to help visitors. Ikebukuro has a lively vibe and lots of restaurants and department stores. "

"Nice clean hotel, good room size, generally quiet at night. Amenities include a gym facility and washing machines guests can use. Staff were helpful, if not overly friendly but this varied based on who was at the desk at the time. There are grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores, cafes and restaurants in the area but perhaps the restaurants are not as nice as many travelers would prefer when compared with say Shibuya or central Shinjuku. Still we enjoyed some simple meals like rice bowls, noodles and good coffee within a few mins walk of the hotel. 25min walk to center of Shinjuku; 3min walk to Chuo-Sobu line and 10min walk to Yamanote line. Super convenient spot for metro transit. Was a good base of operations for exploring Tokyo."

"It was close to higashi-Ikebukuro, a subway station that, when tired, was a great station to go to as Ikebukuro station is a bit farther of a walk. All in all, had everything we needed, nothing fancy, just what was needed which, given the price, was excellent."
