"The room was very spacious and comfortable. The property is old (steeped in history) but the room had all the features we needed. The instructions were excellent and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. The bed was a little creaky and the pillows were a little thin/soft for my preferences, but perfectly comfortable and adequate. Great value for money. Great location. Highly recommend the breakfast!! A great stay - would stay again. "

The hot tub was heated ready for our arrival. The listing says wood fired but it’s actually an electric one. Limited wood for the wood stove inside, but could be purchased as an extra. "Relaxing view from the balcony overlooking the water and park, sitting in a swinging chair. Property was as described by owner. The owner messaged before arriving for stay, to say there was an issue with hot tub, and he was arranging someone to look at it. He was very apologetic about this and it was repaired the following morning, and all ready to use later on in the day. As I have some mobility issues I needed to be careful getting into the tub but was sooo worth it once I did. I have...

"Our family stayed at this incredible property over Christmas and it was honestly the best stay we ever had. Great Alder house is stunning and had everything we needed both for adults, children and babies. Lynn went above and beyond to make everything extra special for us. Nothing was too much trouble for her both before and during our stay. We made memories that will last a lifetime and Great Alder house will always hold a special place in our hearts.
