"The property was ideal for our break, very clean and well kept. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful and polite. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the sauna wasn't in operation but everything else was great and as described. We travelled to Chester by train and found the public transport and taxis very reasonably priced with the local buses stopping almost outside of the hotel drive. "We chose this hotel based on the good reviews. Staff were really friendly & very attentive to our needs. We were given the option to pay for an upgrade at a discounted price but we chose to stay in the room we had originally selected. The room was a good size, modern, clean & comfortable. There were treats in the room which were replenished when our room was cleaned. The bathroom was really modern and had all the toiletries you’d need. Location was good too, Grosvenor Park was just across the road and the main town centre was a few minutes walk away. We left our car in Pepper St car park for 48hours and paid the hotel discounted rate of £24 when we left. Would highly recommend this hotel, we loved it. "

"service in the dining room at breakfast and at dinner was excellent and food was very good. This applies to the do I attended in the small function room. Parking is very limited. Bar was not serving speciality coffees nor did it have any port. Not enough bar staff to cope with large pre-dinner group."

"Hotel was great if a little dated and in need of a little maintance. The room was clean and comfortable but thre were some chips in the bath enamel and a broken window pane in the historic window. Staff were great. Hotel met all my needs comfy and central"
