"Difficult one to award stars. The hotel itself, appearance and setting is fantastic. The service and quality of food was exceptional as was the value for money. The one thing that was a huge disappointment was the room. We stayed in room 12. The bed, I think, was installed when the hotel was built, it was so uncomfortable that neither of us slept for more than a couple of hours. Every time any water was used, sink, shower or WC a motor kicked in presumably part of the sewage system. The noise...

"I can’t praise this hotel enough I’ve stayed all over the world in some fabulous hotels but this was outstanding. From the moment we arrived our host Pam made us more than welcome even allowing us to take part in their Burns night that they had on that evening . "Our stay at Plas Y Ward Log Cabin was absolutely perfect in every way. The location was spot-on, close to all amenities, yet felt beautifully secluded and peaceful. From the moment we arrived, Liza and her husband were there at a moment's notice whenever we needed them, and nothing was ever too much trouble – they made us feel so welcome! The cabin itself was incredibly cosy, with all the comforts we could have asked for. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub under the stars each evening...
