"This is definitely one of the best hotels on the waterfront and provides great value for the price. The terrace restaurant has excellent food (we had breakfasts, lunches and dinners) at reasonable prices. The room was large and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. We used a guide provided by the hotel for a day of sightseeing and he was excellent. We will definitely return. "

"The Spier is a lovely vineyard with good accommodation. They are now starting a complete renovation of the hotel and keeping all their staff on as part of the plan . I have always felt completely safe and cared for within the hotel grounds . A wonderful breakfast in the sunshine is the perfect way to start the day . There are many things to do swimming , cycling , walking , visit the hotel vegetable garden and see the birds enroute . I look forward to visiting Spier next year after its...

"Great, historic hotel in a beautiful setting.We had an overnight stay in Palm Court which worked well for our family. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We had drinks in the atmospheric bar and had both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant - good food, good choice and excellent service."

"Michel made us feel so welcome to Cape Town and his passion for this area was infectious. We took him up on many of his suggestions. Lovely friendly staff and day and night security systems means you feel safe. So many great places to eat very close by and just at the edge of Bo Kaap but only a 25 minute walk to the V&A waterfront. We hope to return! "
