I recently stayed at this hotel and it wasn’t what I expected. It felt more like an office with more desks than bedrooms, and the constant sound of keyboards gave it an Apple-sponsored vibe. The lack of a proper restaurant (only a coffee shop) was a letdown, especially for a special occasion like my boyfriend’s 50th birthday, as it wasn’t romantic at all.
The location was also a downside, with a homeless camp across the street, and the gates being locked at night caused some confusion with our Uber driver.
Our room (Room 2) had thin walls, a weird glass partition separating the bathroom, and no blinds, so we had to use the reception area bathroom for privacy. The lighting was poor, and the apartment across the street made it impossible to open the curtains.
On the bright side, the staff were lovely, particularly the friendly receptionist and a fantastic deaf waiter at breakfast. The chai latte I had was also the best I’ve ever tasted.
Overall, while the staff were great, the hotel’s lack of privacy, awkward layout, and office-like atmosphere made it feel more like a work trip than a relaxing getaway.
