"The room was very large and clean, beds were comfortable and Rudi is a very knowledgeable host. The family room had a nice selection of teas and delicious ground coffee for the french press with fresh milk as well. Lovely balcony to sit on and enjoy the sea view while having a drink. The owners have 2 friendly pugs but you don't hear them while in the room."

"Great location and staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, we had a sea view from our room and it was spectacular. Be warned it is a hilly hike up from town, so a vehicle is required. Parking at the front of the hotel is limited to 4 spots. "

"Our stay at Whale Coast Ocean Villa was fabulous! This is the perfect place for exploring the Hermanus Cliff Walk and Grotto Beach. It is beautifully decorated, the breakfast was amazing, the staff warm and welcoming. Our stay was too short. Hope to visit again soon."

"I attended Mining INDABA 2025, and due to not booking my accommodation on time, I ended up staying in Simon's Town, which is an hr drive from the Conference Centre. Tinswalo is located in a quiet and predominantly white suburb of Cape Town. It offers breathtaking views, and the place is superb. I highly recommend it for couples going on holiday, honeymoon etc. Every day, while eating breakfast, I would overlook the penguins on the shores of the ocean.
