"The hotel was in a good position for Ripon’s attractions ie the cathedral and the old town with its cafes and eating facilities. The rooms were fresh looking and away from the pub in a separate stable block and were self contained but as the property had just been taken over and the pub itself was being refurbished I can’t comment on the food etc ."

"The staff were delightful and really went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Including a hand written note in my room upon arrival and addressing me by name at breakfast. Something I've never experienced before. A great place."

"I loved this hotel. It is quirky and stylish and, above all, comfortable. I had a lovely large room and to say it had a 'cathedral view' was an understatement. I couldn't see anything else - the cathedral is the other side of the road. The staff were lovely. Friendly, efficient and helpful. Plentiful restaurants are just around the corner. I will undoubtedly stay there again if I am up that way in the future."
