The hotel itself is a magnificent building with marvellous architecture which includes a fantastic main staircase. Parking was convenient and the staff were everything you could ask. "This was a great stay for 2 adults and 2 children. Despite there being a sign up on arrival that there was a private event with music till midnight… I didn’t hear a thing, the rooms are nice and quiet, the pool was lovely to wind down in after a busy day, and the breakfast was great, plenty of choice, fresh and was replenished often. Parking is £7 for each night, and there is a bus stop on the opposite side of the road just outside the hotel to take you into York, the bus’s are every 15 minutes and we purchased a family all day ticket for around £9.60 which was super convenient, overall a fantastic couple of days was has by all! "
