"My 12 year old twins & I stayed for 3 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer!! I actually booked other hotels and as soon as I found this resort, I was sold. This property is amazing! It’s spread out on a hill in the jungle, right in the heart of Manuel Antonio. We saw monkeys jumping around in the tree canopy every evening.The pool area is more beautiful than the pictures show. The restaurant and sports bar in the middle of the property is great food, drinks, live music, games and very family friendly! The delicious breakfast was included and not to be missed. Rooms are really comfortable and spacious."

"It was refreshing to be in the middle of a rainforest with all its magical nature (cicada, birds, rain) plus a private waterfall/river area to explore. We had moments to experience--sun times, pouring rain, guided night walk, self guided explore thru the land and to the river . Big pluses; Deb so kindly helped with driving arrangements to/from house. She also arranged the night walk with Jose that was a highlight.The washer and dryer with detergent was a lifesaver after being in Costa Rica for 2 weeks. A full kitchen with some basics stocked. There was plenty of space with two large upstairs bedrooms and a third on the main floor. Lots of nooks and crannies to read a book, play games or just enjoy the rainforest view.Things to consider: -the house is a ways from stores/restaurants so bring food needed while you're there. If you have a car it makes it easier. We stayed 2 days without car. -bumpy unpaved road part of experience to there-the house is not new construction, so has some quirks that add to its custom charm. The floors are creaky, making it hard to sneak up the stairs without anyone knowing you're coming. The electricity flickered when we had a rainstorm, but came back within seconds. Plenty of eclectic decorations, towels, and warm showers. The house feels completely safe in its privacy and Deb responded within moments when we reached out. We agreed we'd stay here again as the experience you get is peacefully unlike any other you will find in CR. "

"Hotel Yara ticks all the boxes. Exceptionally friendly, communicative and supportive staff. Speaking perfect English, the reception staff gave us lots of information to make our stay safe and interesting. Hotel Yara is highly organised, neat and efficient. We enjoyed a small kitchen space, fridge and a very comfy beds. The accommodation was lovely and clean, spacious with nice hot shower. Tasty, well presented each morning with lots of choice. Delightful outdoor space with small pools for cooling off. Lovely foliage in the outdoor space with visiting monkeys and birds. Hotel Yara is on the public bus route for Manueline Antonio National park. Buses are cheap and frequent. We would highly recommend as excellent value.
