"Cattleya was better than we expected! Our group was exploring Monteverde/Santa Elena for 2 days, and we were provided with a very clean, large private room (including our own mini kitchen and full fridge, in addition to the communal kitchen). The reception area is separate (about 3 min drive) from the rooms, but not inconvenient. There are lots of restaurants nearby. We actually got food from a nearby grocery store and cooked in our room. "I have traveled in many countries and slept in numerous hostels around the world and this is one of my all time favourites. The owner is absolutely amazing and super helpful.
