"Our stay at Puerto Azul Hotel Y Club Nautico was good overall. They accommodated our very late check-in at 1:30 am, which was appreciated since our flight was late getting into San Jose. The breakfast was good, and we also attended a boat tour to Tortuga Island, which departed directly from the docks at the hotel, which was very convenient. "This was most interesting stay on my Costa Rica vacation, a somewhat quirky but comfortable beach hotel. My room was clean, spacious, the AC was working well, and the poolside room helped make it pretty quiet (a beach bar was across the street playing music). The bathroom had a jacuzzi style tub with a hand shower, no standup shower which I much prefer. There is no light or switch by the bed, so my cellphone served as a temporary nightlight. "Very safe, clean and close to beach and shopping. Nice small pool just right for a small family. Very friendly owner and staff. Owner was VERY helpful and speaks excellent English. Recommend highly for a short stay near everything 👍👍"
