"This is a hidden gem. We've stayed twice now. The view from the upper harbour facing rooms rival hotels in Circular Quay but for 1/3 of the price. A bus across the road [311] takes you to Central station and a short walk to Kings Cross Station and you can link to wherever. Loads of eating, dining options. Staff are great. Parking onsite, sometimes included and other times $40 a night. Love it!"

"Not as clean as expected. Didn't have flat sheet for the bedding, and saw some bugs in the bedroom. Good that late checkin was smooth. The receptionist was not available in person until very late in AM, but she is very friendly."

"You get what you pay for; nothing flash or overly lush but certainly comfortable enough, clean, and a decent amount of space in the room. They were conducting renovations at the time of my stay so the smell of paint was lingering in the air at times but it was a non issue and it didn't impact my stay at all. Staff were polite and friendly enough. Ultimately it's close to a main road, so there was a fair amount of street noise in the mornings and no double glazed windows so keep noise...

"Lovely old building. Small double room & bed *is* small but clean, comfortable and well-appointed with a window that opens as well as aircon. Probably not the room for a standard Aussie couple, one of whom is male, as the bed is foreshortened by a cushioned bedhead. Friendly staff, nice front lounge. Well-priced and located. My only complaint was lack of hot water on the day of departure. Bring a plug for your phone charger."
