"My wife and I had a WONDERFUL time celebrating our 41 anniversary (Dec 30, 2024) and we LOVED staying at the Bluff Shoal Motel!! We GREATLY ENJOYED 5 days and 4 nights of peace and relaxation! The motel manager, Sissy, was EXCEPTIONALLY kind and helpful!! We understood that late December is NOT the tourist season and many stores and restaurants were closed. "Little House by the Ferry was exactly as described. We wanted a weekend holiday get-away in the off-season and this trip hit the mark. The cottage is as shown in the photos and description. Since it was off-season and only a few on-island amenities were open, it was nice to have the little kitchen details like coffee filters, salt, pepper, etc. The cottage is in a very quiet area and easy walking distance to most places. Morning coffee on the screened porch with bird watching and lazy naps in the afternoon in the porch hammock. It is near a camp ground, which did not have any visitors at the time we stayed. "
